The Birkin
At the moment I am hooked with the new hit series from abc family "Jane By Deign". The story is about Jane Quimby (Erica Dasher) who is living my dream job of being the executive assistant of Grey (Andie MacDowell) a hot fashion executive, and let's not forget that she is surrounded by beautiful things all the time *sigh*, who wouldn't love that.
I can't wait for episode 3 where Jane get to have a birkin, and the moment when she touch it for the first time is so funny and priceless! Check the video out and you will know why.
"Did you just smell my birkin" duh I would do the same if I got my hand on a real birkin.

Nawá
Nowadays, designers are everywhere in the GCC (Gulf Countries Cooperation). However, Nadine Mezher has a different aim for her project Nawá.
"I bought a bag and saved the world today! What about you?"
Nawá is a social project with an aim of using fashion to create sustainable improvements in the quality of the life of unfortunate communities around the world.
|
The name nawá comes from the Arabic word for seed and symbolizes the spirit of continuous and abundant giving that starts with a simple act.
|
Nadine Mezher collection of bags are amazingly gorgeous, and I love all of her bags especially "Tree of Life".
check out more of Nawá's collections

Symphony Edit: AW11
While visiting my friend at her workplace I got my hands on Symphony Edit: Autumn Winter 2011 from Symphony Boutique and fell in love again with another magazine (sorry ELLE UK but I think we should have an open relationship).
Coming back to Symphony Edit I didn't have the time to read it as we had to leave for lunch. However, I loved the topics and the editorial. And THANK GOD I can read it in their website, as it would be my gateway pleasure from studying ( I hate finals).
Alaa Balkhy illustration I love her work, her blog is a must follow. She translated Charlotte Olympia quote to Arabic in the above image:
"The higher the heel the better."
I love the statement about their favorite press coverage about their boutique
"We don't mean to Brag. We don't mean to boast. But we're like hot butter on a breakfast toast"

Mis-pro-nounce
Tonight my BFF shared with me videos of how to mispronounce the fashion labels like Versace and Chanel. And IT WAS HILARIOUS.
At the beginning you will be like this is stupid, but then you will just keep on laughing. So just check the videos out :)
My favorite is Versace sooooo funny.

The Great Gatsby (1974)
Yesterday my best friend and I wanted The Great Gatsby to know what's the buzz about it. Last week I download it the movie, and we marked our calendars for movie night.
After two long hours, this is what we thought about it..
It wasn't a 10 start movie, but it was good because the full cast can ACT. That's the conclusion my friend and I came to, as well how boring was the 20s.
When to watch? when you need inspiration about the 20s fashion and life style. but not when you are heart broken or bored.
What I loved? the direction, the fashion (cloths, hair-dos), and ROBERT BEDFORD.
What I didn't like? how bubbly was Daisy, and yes ALL the women in the movie except Jordan.
"in the winter, in the summer
don't we have fun"

My favorite Perfume commercials
A lazy afternoon with Audrey Hepburn's movie Sabrina and with the family, that is how I spent my last day of the national day holiday.
After that I remembered the funny diesel's Loverdose commercial, and started looking on youtube.com for my favorite perfume commercials
Diesel - Loverdose
I love the look on the boxer face, so adorable and funny <3
Prada - Candy
Tough love :P
Valentino - Valentina
It reminds me a lot of Roman Holiday, don't you think so?
Stella MaCartney - Stella
My FIRST perfume when I was at high school, and it change my perspective about the girlish perfumes to the strong lasting ones.
Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle
I can't explain my feelings because Keira Knightley said it all .. I think I will get it soon after YSL parisienne as I really miss the smell of it *sigh*

The 20s is such a beautiful era full of gorgeous fashion styles and trends that the most modren fashion designers can let go of.
I absolutely love the 20s, and when I saw the post in fashionising.com post I couldn't reset not sharing it with you.
