The Gate of Bahrain

Chai 7aleeb (Tea with Milk)

Yesterday I was with my friends having breakfast in one of the oldest gahwa (a traditional coffee shop in arabic) in Manama souq, Bahrain. It was a day filled with fun, laughter and amazing foooood.

First Round of the amazing breakfast!

After eating what seems like 10 plates and more than two rounds of chai 7aleeb (Tea with milk in arabic) it only cost us 1 BD (around $2) per person and the owner of the coffee shop was joking around by saying "If you went to the Sheraton you will pay 40 BD (around $120)  just for the servies" God bless him.

Manama Souq is a must go to locals and foreigner do not miss this and especially eating in traditional coffee shop.

Manamatna (Our Manama)

Manama the capital of my lovely country Bahrain, is the theme of a new gallery in Al Riwaq (Adliya, Bahrain). The Art Gallery called Manamatna the arabic word for (Our Manama) which tells the history of Manama from a different angel.

I just loved it after a small gathering with my friends even though they are originally from Manama and I'm not well to bad cause I would love to be part of the Manama culture.

Peppermint tea (my favorite)

The famous wooden chairs from schools that will kill from back pain after 7 hours of setting.

Translation: Manama the shanzelize of the gulf.

The doll is holding a sign "I am Manama, what do you say about me?" in arabic.

Someone wrote on it "Memories".
