Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

My sister and I always enjoy a 15 minute window shopping in Jashanmal Bookstore, as we always had this dream of working in a book store or a coffee shop that has bookstore in it.

And in that day we saw Before I Fall novel, and it caught our eyes with the beautiful cover and especially the question on the cover "What if you only had one day to live…" and the next thing we did run to the cashier buy the book and here am I writing a review on it.

Before I Fall tell the story of an eighteen years old popular girl named Samantha who relives her last day after geting in a car crash over and over again.

What I like most about this book, that it is not the typical rewind kind of story. As in each day Sam relives you know more about how she see herself as a popular and part of mean girl group, and how she learn more about why people treat people in different mannars and why sometimes humans just keep on doing the same mistakes, and how to let learn to let go of things.

It's a very smart novel that I couldn't let go of until I finished it and I recommend you to take a chance and read it.

Quotes that I loved from Before I Fall:

"Here is another thing to remember: hope keeps you alive. Even when you're dead, it's the only thing that keeps you alive."

"So many things become beautiful when you really look."

"You can't judge a book by its steel-toed combat boots."

The Gate of Bahrain

Chai 7aleeb (Tea with Milk)

Yesterday I was with my friends having breakfast in one of the oldest gahwa (a traditional coffee shop in arabic) in Manama souq, Bahrain. It was a day filled with fun, laughter and amazing foooood.

First Round of the amazing breakfast!

After eating what seems like 10 plates and more than two rounds of chai 7aleeb (Tea with milk in arabic) it only cost us 1 BD (around $2) per person and the owner of the coffee shop was joking around by saying "If you went to the Sheraton you will pay 40 BD (around $120)  just for the servies" God bless him.

Manama Souq is a must go to locals and foreigner do not miss this and especially eating in traditional coffee shop.

The Birkin

At the moment I am hooked with the new hit series from abc family "Jane By Deign". The story is about Jane Quimby (Erica Dasher) who is living my dream job of being the executive assistant of Grey (Andie MacDowell) a hot fashion executive, and let's not forget that she is surrounded by beautiful things all the time *sigh*, who wouldn't love that.

I can't wait for episode 3 where Jane get to have a birkin, and the moment when she touch it for the first time is so funny and priceless! Check the video out and you will know why.

"Did you just smell my birkin" duh I would do the same if I got my hand on a real birkin.

Saawariya

Saawariya was the first hindi movie that I entered the cinema to see as most of the time I either download them or buy the DVD.

It's the story of a unreturned love and a depressing movie as some of my friends describe it, however I see it as a beautiful movie filled with insperation.

Crownie

For me Blaze Burgers & More serves the best desserts in Bahrain. And I just can't have enough of their delicious Crownies which is a  mixture of chocolate chip cookies, brownies, vanilla ice cream and caramel on top (I am craving it just by talking about it :P).

It's absolute haven, so whenever you go to Blaze don't forget to try it.

It's a MUST

Keswah: Mon Amie La Rose

Keswah a local arabic word meaning a bundle of clothing and other gifts, is a contemporary Emirati brand formed by three young Emirati women from Al-Ain city.

What I love about Keswah that it has the traditional khaliji (Gulf) touch with a modren twist.

True Love a Tiffany's Project

I am in denial for declaring that I hate love just because I hate couples in love especially the lovey dovey ones ugh ugh (again in denial). As I know that deep down in my soul I am a hopeless romantic!

And when I saw this post in Garance Dore blog about her project for Tiffany's I could not not share it. The project is about capturing photos of a real life love stories.

Crazy Bag Lady

Finally after 4 days of studying and being overwhelmed with things to do I had fun. As yesterday I finished my last final exam (YAY ME), and enjoyed a lovely dinner with my friends.

The fun started with remembering the gabering (in English: dusty) old days with my Crazy Bag Lady, with taking pictures of the typical khaleeji girl (stereotyping much, but sadly it's true).

Crazy Bag Lady

Typical khaleeji girl wirh an LV and a Starbucks coffee
(stereotyping much, but sadly it's true).

The first thing we did is looking through Amro Diab (The famous Egyptian singer) old songs, it will make laugh hard I garantee that :P aaaah the 90s it was an EPIC era :)

Lovely looks from Amro Diab hahahah love this song. I remember how we use to dress up like gypsies because of this music video

My cousins and I used to memorize the dance steps of this song, and perform them whenever they play the music video on TV.

And I would like to dedicate this song by FUN. to my new assistant Crazy Bag Lady who you will see her and hear about her a lot in my future post.
